Abstract

The Brazi1ian governmenta1 position about demography po1icy and family p1anning are the subject of this artic1e. It discusses the different governmenta1 p1ans concerned to the mentioned subject since 1963 unti1 1983. It shows how the different governmental and the institutional practice concerned to family p1anning are 1inked with the evolution of the economic model and the state intervention in health policy.
