Abstract

Possible articulations: the family and reproduction in a working class segment. The principal objective of the work is to review a discussion which establishes a set of mediations between family and social class located in specific contexts of Brazilian industrial development. With the changes that have occurred, other mediations and relations have been emphasized, especially regarding the conditions of reproduction of the worker and his family within emerging working class sectors. For example, at the Petrochemical Complex of Camaçari in the State of Bahia we found workers interacting with some of these factors which resulted in the transformation of the style of living of this social group.
