Abstract
Intermetropolitan migration: movements of the poor people? An analysis of the Demographic Census basis of 1980 showed that the migratory movement in the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo in the 70 decade envolved in its majority families in low income tax, even though it was sensible a differentiation between the migrants according to the socioeconomic characteristics of their places of destination. The article sustains, however, that not necessarily were the poorer people who used to migrate internally in the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo, result suggested by the comparisons with the other residents in the origin and interpreted on light of the entirety of restrictions of these movements.Downloads
