Abstract
Migration and differences in state per capita incomes in Brazil. The purpose of the article is to discuss some hypotheses, usually adopted in the literature, about the relationship between migration and state and regional differences in per capita income. Evidence on the process of convergence of state per capita incomes in Brazil is presented and the empirical connection between differences in per capita income and migration is examined, using data for the 1970s.Downloads
