Abstract
The aim of the article is to demonstrate that the women who have headed household owned different strategies in relation to domestic arrangements when occurred changes in economic organization and during the cycle of family development. These domestic units had differences when were headed by men or women. The article introduces the cycle of family development as a very important analytical category in order to evaluate those arrangements and presents comparative data from some others regions.Downloads
