Transmissão intergeracional da idade ao primeiro nascimento de mães para filhos e filhas no Uruguai

Vários estudos demonstraram a transmissão intergeracional da idade no nascimento do primeiro filho das mães para seus descendentes. No entanto, na América Latina e no Caribe, o conhecimento sobre esse processo é limitado. O presente estudo busca contribuir para a literatura regional analisando a transmissão intergeracional da idade no nascimento do primeiro filho no Uruguai. Usando dados da Pesquisa Nacional de Comportamentos Reprodutivos (2015), aplicou-se a análise de história de eventos para avaliar o risco de experimentar o primeiro nascimento e foram utilizados modelos de regressão logística de tempo discreto para identificar diferenças com base nas características socioeconômicas dos entrevistados e suas mães, bem como os atributos dos lares onde foram criados. Os resultados indicam que a idade da mãe no nascimento do primeiro filho influencia significativamente a idade em que os entrevistados tiveram seu primeiro filho, tanto para homens quanto para mulheres, e essa relação se mantém mesmo ao controlar fatores como idade, origem étnico-racial, local de residência (Montevidéu ou fora da capital) e nível educacional.
